WHY SHOULD I ATTEND PHYSICAL THERAPY?

Physical therapy at Tribe Wellness LLC means working with a therapist in a one-on-one setting. Our licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy have graduated from UTSW and are highly qualified to work with you. Some situations in which we would recommend physical therapy are:

-If you have recently had a fall 

-If you have sustained a recent injury and have pain or lowered quality of life that needs to be addressed

-If you are looking to join our group classes and have not had physical therapy in the past six months

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND GROUP CLASSES?

While our physical therapy services are available for everyone, our group classes are formatted specifically for those with Parkinson's Disease. Research has shown that having a regular exercise schedule greatly benefits those with Parkinson's disease by slowing the progression of symptoms. Attending group classes will also provide you with the opportunity to partake in aerobic exercises that will help to keep you healthy and may also help to decrease depression. Joining the tribe will also provide you a community that is able to overcome this situation with you! 

It is recommended that people with Parkinson's disease exercise for at least 30-40 minutes at least 4-5 times a week to reap the maximum benefits from leading an active lifestyle. The various exercise classes that we offer help to provide the most benefits for neuroprotection, balance, strength training, reduced rigidity, and includes sequences for a cognitive challenge to help keep your mind sharp.
